Dear Pet Owners and Friends,
As we approach the Olympics in August, many government ministries are beginning to issue and strictly enforce new rules and regulations. The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has recently been notified of a new regulation from the China Agricultural Bureau¡¯s Centers for Animal Disease Control to certify the animal vaccinations and official immunity certificates (vaccination red books) issued at legally registered and officially designated animal vaccination hospitals.
In line with this new regulation, ICVS is proactively taking the lead in asking that all pet owners with ICVS-issued vaccination immunity certificates (red books), kindly bring them in to ICVS so that we may have them officially certified and stamped by the Chaoyang District Centers for Animal Disease Control. The authorities will certify that:
- All of the animal vaccines are legally registered and approved vaccines
- All vaccines were properly administered
There is no charge or cost to pet owners for this service.
ICVS serves pet owners in both the international and local communities, many of whom will take their pets out of China. This animal vaccine certification program will help ensure a smooth exit process for all pet owners who must present an official vaccination immunity certificate (red book) to the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau at the time of exit.
The Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau recognizes and accepts the vaccination immunity certificates issued by the International Center for Veterinary Services as a legally registered and officially designated animal vaccination hospital in the PRC. With both the official stamps from ICVS and the Chaoyang District Centers for Animal Disease Control in the vaccination immunity certificates (red books), pet owners will be ensured of a smooth process at the time of exit.
Moreover, should your pet ever nip or bite another animal or person, or if your pet is bitten by another animal, you will be able to prove to the Public Security Bureau and all other parties that your pet has been legally and properly vaccinated. The law requires all dogs to be registered and to be rabies vaccinated annually.
For pet owners receiving their vaccination immunity certificates (red books) from ICVS for the first time, we will be providing you with the newest versions of the officially certified vaccination immunity certificates (red books) with both the official ICVS stamp and the stamp from the Chaoyang District Centers for Animal Disease Control.
We hope this vaccination certification program will help bring peace of mind about the quality and safety of animal vaccines at ICVS. The International Center for Veterinary Services is committed to helping the community by providing clarity and transparency on the rules and regulations governing animal health and human public health. Kindly forward this notice to members of your organizations and communities. Please do not hesitate to contact us at ICVS with any questions.
Many thanks to our pet owners and friends for your kind cooperation and support of these new regulations in advance of the Olympics! We wish you, your families and your pets a very happy, healthy and safe summer!
