Beautiful rescued cat "Leo" has been adopted!
Julia and Diego found Leo's adoption ad on the ICVS web site before they moved to China and kept up with his treatment and recovery updates while still living in Singapore.
After moving to Beijing this summer, Julia and Diego visited Leo several times while he was living with his foster mom, Fionnula, in Beijing. It was love from the moment they met!

Lucky Leo with his mommy, Julia
Poor Leo was sick with respiratory disease and eye infection when he was first rescued in the winter of this year. Leo was extremely thin and so desperately needed help.
Sometimes it is hard to see the beauty from within but we knew Leo was a special guy and deserved a truly good home. So we set out to help him become the beautiful and gorgeous cat we knew he could be.
Poor Leo was exhausted and sick and spent his first days sleeping and sleeping and sleeping. And then eating, and eating and eating!
Rescued by Charlotte Landwehr and her family, Leo began to recover as he was treated for his infections, received high quality food and had a warm, comfortable private quarantine room to stay in at ICVS.
Leo's fur was so matted and knotted that he had to receive a full body shave (Lion cut) to allow him to grow his fur anew.
Leo's fur grew back beautifully and was silky soft. He spent several months living with his foster mom, Fionnuala, learning what it was like to be a housecat and to live indoors for the first time in a very, very long time.
A very big thanks to Fionnula for fostering and loving Leo and teaching him to be a housecat. Leo's fostering paved the way for him to become an adoptable kitty and he is now a beloved family member of Julia and Diego.
And deepest thanks to Charlotte Landwehr and the Landwehr family for rescuing Leo and bringing him to ICVS for his treatment and care!

Leo's Original Adoption Ad:
Introduction: Hi everyone, my name is Leo!
Background: I am a beautiful former housecat who has been living outdoors as a stray. I was sick and exhausted and found my way to the third floor of an office building. I cried outside a door until a kind person heard me and rescued me. I am currently living with a very nice foster mom and am hoping to find a forever home soon!
Personality: I am very playful, curious, clever and affectionate cat! I am very outgoing, friendly and love to cuddle and snuggle. I have an extroverted personality and am likely to become the alpha cat if there are other cats in the household.
Ideal home: Leo would be happy with an individual, a couple or a family with older children (e.g., 12 years and older). Leo may be fine with other cats that are laid-back and easy-going.
Sex, Age & Breed: Leo is a gorgeous orange and white, long-haired tiger tabby. He is about 1-3 years old.
Medical notes: Leo is in excellent health now! He has been neutered, dewormed, fully vaccinated, stool checked, and is on flea and tick preventives. Leo is negative for Feline Leukemia/Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FeLV/FIV).
Post-adoption care: The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled me into their Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on health examinations and vaccinations and neuter surgery during my first year of life with my new adoption family.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With my rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge! I need the official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated to move to another city or to leave China with my family.
Pet Import/Export Counseling: ICVS will provide my family with unlimited relocation counseling and accurate information to take me with them when it is time to move to another city or to another country.
Door-to-Door Pet Transport Service:ICVS can help my new family arrange for a car and driver service to take us door-to-door for my appointments at the hospital! Contact ICVS: www.ICVSASIA.com
